General Contractors for Water-Related Construction
Nicholas Silicz began his family-managed construction business in 1987 with a focus on commercial water and sewer installations in the Kern River Valley. As the trend of work expanded to Bakersfield and the surrounding areas, he incorporated as Nicholas Construction. The company filled the need for environmental clean-ups, removing underground fuel tanks throughout California.
In 1995, a $500,000 water project for the Cuyama Community Services District in Santa Barbara County set the company on a new path of serving the municipal water and public works construction market.
Nick’s sons Alex, Jacob and Justy are involved in the company today, taking the business forward with competitive bid, negotiated contracts, and design-build construction. The company provides safe, efficient, and reliable work for water-related construction projects ranging from corporate farms to irrigation and water storage districts and municipal projects.
Nicholas Construction specializes in creating viable solutions to challenging projects that test conventional construction methods.
